Jenny Swadosh has worked in the New School Archives and Special Collections since 2009 – when it was only the Kellen Design Archives. She received her MLIS from Queens College-City University of New York in 2007, and holds a BS in Media, Culture and Communication Studies from New York University. She has presented on visual materials at LIM College’s Fashion: Now and Then conference and the Mid-Atlantic Region Archives Conference. She is also an active member of the Society of American Archivist’s Reference, Access and Outreach (RAO) Section, and served as the Programming Chair of the Archivists Round Table of Metropolitan New York.
Jenny’s interests are diverse, and span everything from data exchange to copyright law to theories of cultural production to information literacy. At the root of these seemingly disparate sub-disciplines is a desire to explore how creating, interpreting, sharing and organizing information affects people on individual and societal levels. Although it may not always seem so, she really does have more questions than answers.
